To renew your real estate license in Florida, follow these steps:

Complete Required Education:

First Renewal: You must complete a state-approved 45-hour post-license course before your license expires1. If you miss this, you’ll need to retake the pre-license course and exam.

Subsequent Renewals: Every two years, you need to complete 14 hours of continuing education (CE) approved by the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC). This includes 3 hours of Core Law, 3 hours of Ethics and Business Practices, and 8 hours of specialty education1.

Submit Your Renewal Application:

Go to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) website and log in to your account. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to create one2.

Link your existing license to your online profile if you haven’t already2.

Pay the Renewal Fee:

Fees can be paid online through the DBPR website or by check/money order1.

Download Your Updated License:

Once your renewal is processed, you can download your updated license from the DBPR website1.

If your license has been expired for more than 12 months, you’ll need to complete a 28-hour reactivation education course and pay all due fees3.
